Object description

Made famous by the office towers designed by Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind and Arata Isozaki, the Milan-based largescale project »CityLife« combines living, working, shopping, green spaces and public areas in one complete ensemble – a remarkable feat of architecture and town planning. The newly constructed living quarters also raise the bar.

The residences designed by Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind are situated in the southern section of the plot. They offer custom-designed, luxurious living spaces from small apartments through to two-storey penthouses. Generous terraces, light and airy lobbies, state-of-theart fitness suites and an around-the-clock concierge service elevate urban living to a new level.

The architecture of the apartment blocks is also tailored to this requirement. Zaha Hadid's elegant façade design emphasises the flowing shapes of the seven meandering building structures which vary in height. The building envelopes consist of countless different-sized panels interspersed with areas of natural wood. Schüco Italia developed a range of customised products for the façades which not only made the futuristic architecture possible but were also tailored to he high technical requirements, such as protection from heavy precipitation and gusts of wind on the top floors. Alongside modifications to the FW 60+ façade system, Schüco supplied special versions of he highly insulated AWS 75 window profile and the ASS 50 sliding and lift-andslide system.

CityLife combines a sophisticated lifestyle with ecology and sustainability. Designed to have zero emissions, the district runs exclusively on renewable energies and has a focus on energy-saving heating and cooling systems. The residences have been awarded CENED Class A+.
